Our range of cereals

Agrolog-Hungaria Ltd., as the defining company in the southern trans-danubian cereal trade, is not only a dependable partner to growers in the distribution of cereals and oily grains, but also intends to fascilitate their profitability by supplying outstanding quality sowing seeds.

In our cereal sowing seed portfolio we offer a specific kind of seed for every cultivation goal, the use of which, combined with the appropriate technology can make cereal production very profitable.

We offer the following varieties for the 2010 sowing of the winter corn:

WHEAT

  • The Fridolin and Josef are austrian cultured wheat varieties with good productivity and premium quality. Apart from the high protein- and gluten-content these two varieties are characterized by good alveografic volumes. They are recommended for any soil, they grow thick and - when sowed at the right time they are perfectly appropriate for meeting low quantity sowing norms.
  • Based on traditional parameters defined by the MSz (Society of Agriculture) we offer two specific varieties that guarantee stable mill quality: Dunai and the Brutus. They have been present in the domestic common cultivation for years, thay are reliable and popular for their good productivity.
  • For those who aim at growing record quantities the first choice is the Balaton wheat variety. This variety leads the charts in quantity in all the different regions of the country where experiments with species have been conducted; so for example in the 2008 species line in chernalhaza it produced 10,58T/ha, higher than all other competitors. It’s quality is weaker than every other species we offer, but, with the right agricultural engineering it can produce B1 mill quality.
  • The French Soissons wheat variety is rather popular with our partners since it shows great productivity; in common cultivation results over 7 T/ha are not uncommon, showing good mill quality parameters. The Soissons is very adaptable, it can be grown anywhere with success. Starting this year we have distributed the French Isengrain variety, which is very strong in productivity. Its advantage over other quantity-producing wheat varieties is that the Isengrain is a bearded wheat, therefor record production is likely even in areas damaged by game.

Rye

  • Rye cultivation is the economical choice for weak cultivation sites. The Amilo rye variety offers not only reliable quality – good drop value and HL weight – but also high productivity. Growers of the Amilo rye variety can count on a very marketable, easy to sell product requiring a rather small investment.
